Ordering, Specifications & Lead Time

Order Confirmation

Orders received will be immediately placed in production control – first, come bases.  

North strives to respond within 24 hours of receiving your order submission.  Upon receiving our confirmation notification – please verify all information for accuracy and provide a sign-off approval in an email to orders@northwoodalliance.ca  Please note, only approved and signed confirmed orders will be processed.     

  • We request the use of our North Product Order From and Details. Please visit the North website  www.northwoodalliance.ca to download the excel file under the downloads tab.
  • Order forms can be submitted to orders@northwoodalliance.ca or dropped off at our office (we will stamp the time of receiving)
  • Incomplete orders will not be processed.  Therefore, kindly double-check before submitting to avoid delays.  
  • At the time of order, door sizes (metric or imperial) must be identified.  North does not add or subtract from provided measurements.

Lead Time

Estimated Lead Time:  MDF Doors Products with Sanding: 7 to 10 Business Days.
Estimated Lead Time:  Custom MDF Orders, please call +1-226-705-2147.   The target remains 8 to 10 days from engineering and design confirmation.

  • Lead-time planning is based on business days only and does not include statutory holidays or weekends.

Special Requests 

Custom Order:  Please provide North with a custom request – giving all details and drawings to quote and present a proposal for your custom requirement.   

Note:  Custom options are subject to additional pricing once all specifications are collected and understood. 

Change to Orders: Within 72 hours of signed approval, orders are still open for modification.  To guarantee changes are in effect, we request you email us or directly reach our North team to confirm changes.  We will resend order confirmation and do our best to meet the original committed shipment date.  

Rush Orders:  Rush orders will be accepted and considered.  After a review of our production plan will allow us to offer the best possible ship date.  Rush orders and additions to orders may be subject to additional charges.  

Sales and Marketing 


Singular Job Quotations:  North Wood Alliance quotes are valid for 30 days.  If changes are made to the 

order and the original quote becomes invalid; a revision will be resent for your review.  

Significant Volume Job Quotations: We can often provide better pricing due to material yields and production efficiencies if you require large quantities for a project.  Don’t hesitate to contact our North team for assistance with project and volume discussions.

General Terms:

  • MDF prices listed per square footage with no further base or additional charges.
  • Minimum 1 sq. ft. charge.
  • Pricing is subject to change.  We are committed to open and transparent communication and provide a 30-day notification. 

Sample Door Process

We believe in or product – samples are FREE of charge for you to test or share with your respective client.  Please visit our website at www.northwoodalliance.ca to select a sample door style in raw MDF.    All sample doors are sized at 12′ x 15′ x 3/4″.

Showroom displays and non-standard samples can be produced to meet your needs.

Please use the North Product Order Form and Details on our website for details and note the special sample request. 

Custom sample MDF doors are subject to a $20 charge.  North Wood Alliance Inc. will credit the sample cost amount when an order for the custom matching style is submitted. 

Shipping & Logistics

To help maintain our transparent pricing structure for our products, we offer shipping separately.

All prices are FOB / EXW – North Wood Alliance.  Shipping options include:

  1. North Wood Alliance delivery service:  
  • Courier: For small quantity shipments – shipping by courier is typically the preferred choice due to lower overall cost.  We partnered up with a service that provides best-in-class rates with major couriers. 
  • Carrier, LTL:  We will contact you when your order is ready – tracking number or BOL will be provided with the expected arrival date.
    1. If a liftgate is required, please include it on the North Product Order Form and Details to proactively avoid shipping disruption.  Additional charges will apply. 
  1. Customer pick-up service:
  • North’s shipping operation – Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm – excluding statutory holidays.  
  • We will contact you when the order is ready to coordinate arrival times to ensure you can be in and out of our facility in an expeditious manner. 
    1. PU will be loose or skidded – please include options on the North Product Order Form and Details to ensure our shipping staff prepares orders to your expectation. 

Quality Control 

Customer Claim and Returns

  1. Please inspect goods immediately upon receipt and notify North Wood Alliance Inc. of any concerns.  Any damages that occurred during shipping or missing items from your order should be indicated on the Bill of Lading to assist us in claims reimbursement.  
  2. In the case of shortage, damage or non-conformity, please immediately advise the North team for appropriate replacement within 24 hours.      

Credit or replacement will be issued subject to review and agreement by North Wood Alliance Inc.  Product must be returned in the original condition, if requested and feasible.  Damage and non-conformities will be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.

Failure to notify promptly with required information relieves North Wood Alliance Inc. and the carrier of all shipment responsibilities. 


The warranty period for all products purchased from North Wood Alliance Ltd. is five-year effective on the original date of shipment.  The limited warranty applies to the physical goods – covering any defects in material or workmanship under everyday use during the warranty period.  

During the Warranty Period, North Wood Alliance Inc. will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of our product that proves defective because of inappropriate material or workmanship under regular use and maintenance.  The limited warranty does not cover any problem caused by: conditions (storage, moisture and handling), malfunctions or damages associated with finishing, installation or removal labour. 

Requests to alter North Wood Alliances’ standard construction specifications are not guaranteed and make void warranties of any kind, expressed or implied.


The limited warranty applies to the following manufacturing specification and conditions: 

Maximum interior tolerance of 1/8″ warp and exterior tolerance of 1/16″ warp for doors up to 48]”.  Add 1/32″ in additional warp per linear foot for doors taller than 48″.
